I use FL Studio 11. I used a bunch of drum instruments to put together some drum loops and for the guitars I pretty much just plugged my amp into my laptop and recorded the guitars as audio clips.
I Actually find this pretty decent, may I ask in what kind of DAW you produce your music?
Well the only two things I use Is Open Mod Plug Tracker for creating the piece, and Audacity for cleaning it up and polishing!
